Let’s Talk Mining

The “Let’s Talk Mining™” Workshop is for anybody who is interested in learning in non-technical terms how modern exploration and mining is carried out with the related benefits and challenges. The audience includes Aboriginal Peoples, representatives of local governments, staff from service companies and community members. The Workshop is designed to be both informative and engaging with numerous pictures and explanations of British Columbia industry activities combined with examples of how this unique industry operates. The “Let’s Talk Mining” Workshop is delivered by Jerry Asp and Dave Lefebure. Jerry is one of western Canada’s most prominent Aboriginal leaders and is a certified trainer. He is a staunch believer in the need for economic independence for all Aboriginal Peoples and the role that exploration and mining can play in this goal. Dave, former Chief Geologist of the British Columbia Geological Survey, has more than 30 years of experience with the mineral industry. An engaging instructor, he uses innovative approaches to connect with all audiences.
