Dan Jepsen is a Co-Founder and Director of C3 Alliance Corp with over 30 years’ experience in the resource sector. Dan has extensive experience in business development, aboriginal, government and community relations, communications and media relations. As the former President and CEO of the Association for Mineral Exploration BC and Manager, Aboriginal Affairs and Environment of one of BC’s largest forest companies, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience linked to the resource sector, Indigenous and government relations. He has worked on development and implementation of strategies, policies and programs related to environmental management and certification systems, First Nation business and relationship development, and complex multi-stakeholder resource planning processes. He has extensive experience in environmental legislation and regulations and international certification systems. Dan has gained considerable recognition from resource sector and Indigenous Peoples in Canada as someone who can be trusted and who understands the need for early, frequent, honest and respectful engagement that leads to the support, development and operation of resource projects that bring benefits to Indigenous communities and resource developers.
Dan is a co-author of the Mineral Exploration, Mining and Aboriginal Community Engagement: A Guidebook. The Guidebook is a vital resource in guiding and developing progressive and positive business relationships and practices with Indigenous peoples, communities, and the resource sector. He has actively been engaged in negotiating and structuring over 30 First Nation successful joint ventures and is a frequent speaker on aboriginal relations, business development and crisis communications. Dan is personally committed to improving the way resource sectors conduct business, serve the community and respect the environment.
