On behalf of the Organizing Committee for the 5th Indigenous Resource Opportunities Conference, we would like to provide an important message regarding COVID-19.
In light of the rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19, including a recent directive from the BC Provincial Health authorities prohibiting gatherings of more than 50 people, we made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone the 5th Indigenous Resource Opportunities Conference.
After careful consideration, our Organizing Committee has been encouraged to re-launch the 2020 event in an updated format as a virtual speaker series! The event, initially scheduled for April 8-9, 2020, has been rescheduled to take place virtually October 7, 14, and 21, 2020.
We understand that there are many questions regarding this date change, and we have done our best to address these in a brief FAQ on our website, available here. Our team is working hard on making all the required adjustments, and we will provide updates as they become available.
If you have any further questions in the meantime, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join us at the 2020 Indigenous Resource Opportunities Conference to learn about and discuss the many social and economic opportunities that exist for BC’s Indigenous communities and resource-based businesses.
When Indigenous communities are healthy and prosperous, we all benefit. There are many positive stories and proven partnerships between Indigenous communities and the resource development sector that can be shared. Attendees will hear these stories and explore best practices in economic development between Indigenous Peoples, governments, and the resource sector.
